AFNCI celebrates the sixth anniversary of the opening of the set up out-patient clinics in favor of the National Cancer Institute, NCI

Today, six years have elapsed since the opening of the new out-patient clinics at the NCI. AFNCI built and completely equipped the clinics and offered them to the NCI, to alleviate the congestion of patients in the Institute’s main building and  to offer a decent service that cancer patients deserve.

It is noteworthy that building the clinics started on 2012, and the construction and equipping  were completed  by the end of May 2014. The clinics serve 1600 patients daily through 43 checkup, surgery and radiotherapy clinics, in addition to pharmacies and labs. Today, after 6 years of operation, the Association is still supporting the clinics by taking on the responsibility of maintaining and cleaning the clinics in addition to  the salaries of the clinics’ workers in the different departments. The Association is also contributing to offering needed medical equipment to sustain and maintain their provision of quality services to cancer patients, increasing their chances of overcoming the disease.

Thanks to all of our charity partners who supported the establishment of this project that aims to serve adult and children cancer patients. A special thanks to the business man Hassan Alsharbatly and CIB Bank for their continuous support, and for Kapci Paintings for providing anti-bacterial painting required for the clinics.

The NCI’s out-patient clinics are one of AFNCI’s projects through which it pursues to improve the outcomes of cancer patients.
