Since it is\nimportant to preserve the patient\u2019s natural temperature during complicated\nsurgeries that need more time and effort, it was important to establish a\nwarming system that helps carrying out the\nsurgery successfully. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
The\nBair Hugger warming units filter air and then force warm air through Bair\nHugger disposable blankets, which cover patients before, during and after\nsurgery. Bair Hugger blankets are designed to use pressure points on the\npatient\u2019s body to prevent heat from reaching areas at risk of pressure sores or burns. The blankets also\ninclude drain holes where fluid passes through the surface of the blanket to\nlinen underneath, which is supposed to reduce the risk of skin softening and\nreduce the risk of unintended cooling because of heat loss by evaporation. Bair\nHugger blankets are disposable to reduce the chance of infection transmission\nfrom one patient to another.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
