Cancer is one of\nthe most important causes of mortality worldwide, hence the World Health Organization, WHO along with the\nInternational Union for Fighting Cancer organize a campaign to promote the\nefforts seeking to save millions of\nlives and to increase awareness around February fourth which is\nWorld Cancer Day.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
AFNCI took over\nthe mission of promoting quality healthcare and\nreducing the incidence of cancer in Egypt, through offering a number of\ninitiatives and projects that contribute to developing healthcare and\neliminating diseases causes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The Association\nembarked on a long term\nintensive campaign for cancer awareness and prevention\nthrough promoting benefits of early detection, maintaining healthy nutrition habits and preserving environment against pollution. These awareness campaigns are reaching out to the different governorates, using out animation adds in the TV.\nand handing out booklets and CD\u2019s.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In cooperation\nwith state organizations, AFNCI shares in developing the infrastructure in the\nneediest villages by extending sanitary sewage networks and establishing sewage\nwater treatment stations aiming to eliminate pollution. This is in addition to\nits initial mission of supporting cancer patients in the National Cancer\nInstitute, NCI by providing chemotherapy, and establishing the new out-patient\nclinics and equipping them to host up to 1600 patients daily.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The Association\nexerts efforts in spreading out clinical pharmacy\nprinciples where it established the first clinical pharmacy\nin the NCI in the early\nnineties, followed by establishing clinical pharmacies in Ismailia Tumor\nHospital and Ahmed Maher Hospital.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Moreover, it is involved in supporting education and training programs for healthcare specialists\nby sponsoring fellowship certificates, aiming to prepare qualified cadres to\ncontribute to improving healthcare and raising cure rates in Egypt.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Throughout twenty years of giving by faithful\ndonors, AFNCI is exerting utmost efforts\nto eliminate cancer causes and raise awareness about it.
