AFNCI is committed to the provision of safe free blood for cancer patients. Hence, the blood donors\u2019 affairs department is exerting utmost efforts to encourage and spread out the culture of blood donation by organizing blood donation campaigns. 256 blood donation campaigns were organized during 2019, aiming to support cancer patients in the National Cancer Institute, NCI, Hospital 57357 branches in Cairo and Tanta, Cairo University\u2019s hospitals and the Egyptian Red Crescent. This policy contributed to offering safe free blood for cancer patients which helped saving their lives and gave them better chances of recovery.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
We would like to thank all our donors for responding to our calls in favor of cancer patients. The campaigns were met with large turnout and support from society\u2019s different sectors (factories, companies, authorities and hotels), which embraced the donation campaigns, standing as an example for giving and charity.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
While 2019 is ending and we\u2019re getting ready to welcome the new year, the last few weeks witnessed new charity initiatives by new partners who shared with blood donation. Campaigns were organized in Abaza factory for trailers, Clorox factory for house cleaners, Carmen for cleanex and Alfa Cure for drugs (within the Tharwat Basily group.) As the campaigns were successful, the Association thanks the four institutions for their quick response to cooperate and for their employees\u2019 support in favor of cancer patients and 573.57\u2019s children which resulted in collecting a big number of blood bags.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
It is noteworthy that huge continuous efforts are exerted by AFNCI\u2019s blood donors\u2019 affairs department which is equipped with a specialized work team that is always ready to move with fully equipped vehicles to set up blood donation campaigns inside and outside Cairo. They are unknown soldiers who follow safety and quality measurements in dealing with donors.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
